The minimum qualifications required for admission into the Master in Accounting (MAC) programme are as follows:
Bachelor’s Degree Holders:
B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Accounting (with specialisation in Banking & Finance), and B.Sc. Banking and/or Finance with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) from any recognised university in Nigeria or abroad.
HND Holders with Professional Qualification:
HND in Accounting, Economics, or Banking and/or Finance from accredited institutions.
Recognised professional qualifications such as:
ACA, ACCA, ACIB, ICAN, ACS, ANAN, among others.
Third Class Degree Holders:
Third Class degree in B.Sc. Accounting, Economics, or Banking and/or Finance.
Must possess:
Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (PGDAF) OR
At least 5 years of relevant post-graduation work experience.
HND Holders Without Professional Qualification:
HND in Accounting, Economics, or Banking and/or Finance with distinction, upper credit, or lower credit.
Must possess:
Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (PGDAF) OR
Recognised equivalent qualification.
Candidates from Other Fields:
Applicants with good degrees in other fields who have reached high accounting or financial managerial positions in the financial or public sector may also be considered.
Minimum Credit Units: A total of 36 credit units is required to graduate from the Master of Accounting programme.
