Ahmadu Bello University’s Distance Learning Center Adds 4 new e-Learning programmes

In line with our commitment to extend our reach beyond our physical location to accommodate Nigeria’s growing student population, the Ahmadu Bello University Distance Learning Center (ABU DLC) has launched, and opened applications for four new e-Learning degree programmes, covering both undergraduate and postgraduate education.

This development rides on the success of Nigeria’s first e-Learning MBA programme which we launched in August 2016 and continues the efforts of the ABU DLC to further bridge the longstanding gap between the number of graduates and the physical capacity of Nigerian higher institutions.

In addition to our ABU DLC MBA programme which has over 2,000 students, with close to 300 of them set to graduate in the coming months; three undergraduate programmes (B .Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Economics and B.Sc. Public Administration) and one postgraduate programme (PGD Education) have been added to the roster and will undoubtedly serve to provide for the diverse needs of students nationwide.

According to DLC Director, Prof. A.Z. Hassan, “through our planned internship programme, our students will be most sought for or preferred by employers as they not only have highly ranked and NUC Accredited degrees from a foremost university in Nigeria, they also stand out as very IT savvy and have good time management skills and can work with minimal supervision due to the experience they gained from partaking in our programmes. And now, with the addition of our B.Sc and PGD programmes, we can truly provide quality education to more students.”

The current admission cycle will run till the end of August 2018, and prospective applicants are advised to take advantage of this unique opportunity to advance their learning experience and develop their careers.
