he Disaster Risk Management (DRM) programme is an interdisciplinary course that equips students with the skills and knowledge required to identify, assess, and manage disaster risks. The curriculum integrates theoretical and practical approaches to disaster risk reduction, enabling graduates to:
Understand Disaster Dynamics: Gain insights into the causes, impacts, and management of natural and human-induced disasters.
Apply Risk Management Frameworks: Use contemporary tools and strategies to reduce risks and enhance community resilience.
Develop Cross-Sector Solutions: Collaborate across disciplines to design and implement effective disaster response and recovery plans.
Engage in Policy Development: Contribute to the formulation of policies and strategies that address disaster risk at local, national, and global levels.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Master’s Programme Eligibility:
Possess at least a Second Class Lower (Honours) degree from Ahmadu Bello University or any other recognized university.
Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a Postgraduate Diploma Certificate from a recognized university.
Additional Eligibility:
Candidates with M.Sc. in Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Applied Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Education are eligible.
